IT SEEMS like Liza Soberano is well on her way to fulfilling her dream of making a name for herself in Hollywood.
On April 29, the actress’s name was included in Town & Country’s list of “hottest new talent”.
Town & Country is a US-based lifestyle magazine. In their May issue, they released a feature article on “young actors to keep an eye on” in Hollywood, with Liza starting off the list of six.
Joining her on the shortlist are Will Harrison of “Daisy Jones & the Six and Manhunt,” West Duchovny of “Painkiller and Saint X,” Priya Kansara of “Polite Society,” Khris Davis of “Foreman,” and Kylie Rogers of “Yellowstone” and “Beau Is Afraid.”
On the magazine’s Instagram account, they acknowledged that although Liza is restarting her career in the US, she is no newbie in the entertainment industry.
“While she may be making her Hollywood debut in the upcoming black comedy ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ she isn’t exactly a rookie,” posted Town & Country. “The 25-year-old veteran model and actress moved from California to the Philippines, when she was 10 — and has gained 18 million followers on Instagram over the years.”
Liza knew what she was getting into when she moved abroad, but is actually looking forward to rediscovering herself as an artist and as an individual.
It was in June 2022 when Liza signed a contract with Careless Music, a talent management group headed by James Reid. Soon after that, she flew to the United States and was seen mingling with international artists. She also headed to South Korea and met with the artists there.
For most of her career in the Philippines, Liza had been paired up with her real-life boyfriend, Enrique Gil.
She has since rebranded herself and has made major steps towards building her name in Hollywood. (PUSH)
