LMP-Capiz supports 14-day halt on return of ROFs, LSIs

ROXAS City – The League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Capiz Chapter backed the appeal of the Capiz Medical Society for a 14-day suspension on the repatriation of locally stranded individuals (LSIs), returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to this province.

LMP-Capiz showed their support by submitting a resolution recently to the provincial inter-agency task Force and Western Visayas Regional Task Force.

They said in the resolution that there is a need for a timeout on the repatriation of ROFs, LSIs and OFWs due to the rising number of coronavirus disease 2019 cases in the province, particularly in this city.

Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras expressed gratitude to LMP-Capiz for supporting the Capiz Medical Society. (With a report from Capiz Kabalaka Information Center/PN)
