ILOILO – A pickup truck loaded with 20 sacks of animal feed turned turtle in Barangay Dawis Centro, Zarraga at about 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25.
Driver Carl Rofred Padrigo, 31, was a resident of Barangay Dolores, Dumalag, Capiz.
While on his way to Pototan town from Iloilo City, he may have dozed off, said Police Captain Raffy Señeres, chief of the Zarraga Municipal Police Station, in an interview with Zarraga News Live Station.
“Based sa skid mark, nasagairan niya ni ang street light kag nasamad pa gani ang haligi nga concrete. Then siguro nakibot siya gin-steer ya liwat pabalik nga masaka siya sa lane. Siguro bangod bug-at ang load sa buli amo to na lose control niya ang manebela kag nag-blow up ang tire sa back portion,” Señeres added.
Padrigo sustained a scar on his right arm but refused to be taken to the hospital./PN
