Local biz, MSMEs dominate Iloilo’s Dinagyang fair

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo Chapter Inc. in partnership with Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Tourism says this 2020 Dinagyang Fiesta Fair is an opportunity to promote homegrown products as Iloilo expects heavy influx of tourists and guests during Dinagyang fest.

ILOILO City – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo Chapter Inc. yesterday opened the 2020 Dinagyang Fiesta Fair here, featuring local products, delicacies and services across Panay.

With openings in two locations, a short ribbon-cutting was done at Festive Walk Mall around 1:30 p.m. and a 3 p.m. program was held at SM City Iloilo.

PCCI in partnership with Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Tourism said this event is an opportunity to promote and sell homegrown products as Iloilo expects heavy influx of tourists and guests during Dinagyang fest.

The fair showcases products from Iloilo, Aklan, and Antique such as woodcraft, delicacies, and other services made by local artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs.


Department of Trade and Industry regional director Rebecca Rascon firmly encouraged support for the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in platforms such as the affair towards becoming a “leveled up” market in the future.


Iloilo governor Arthur Defensor Jr. also pledged his utmost support pressing the goal to “translate the advocacies to practical results” in collaboration with MSMEs.

The “Aspire Western Visayas! Level Up Iloilo!” themed display will last until Jan. 26./PN
