BACOLOD City – Six residents of Sitio Sambag in Barangay Pinggot, Ilog, Negros Occidental tested negative for the viral illness. They were earlier exposed to a confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient.
Local authorities lifted the sitio’s lockdown on Monday after the six hurdled their reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test.

They were released from quarantine but Nillos warned they may still face charges for violating Municipal Ordinance 2020-003.
The COVID-positive patient, meanwhile, will be transferred to the Provincial Healing Center in the town of E.B. Magalona.
