XXX. Emilio
She should not have run after him. She should not have begged him to wait for her. But she did!
*
A ruggedly handsome hunk, dark-skinned, extremely good-looking, rose out of the water close to Dulce.
He wore white long sleeves, white beach pants that now clung to his beautiful hard-muscled body.
He jogged to keep up with her.
Flattered, she smiled.
Hi, my name is Emilio. What’s yours?
*
Dulce hesitated.
She just smiled.
The man persisted, I said, My name is Emilio. What’s yours?
She just looked at him.
Yummy, yummy! her mind screamed.
What’s your name?
Again, there was a raw masculine sexiness in his voice, something that penetrated every pore of her skin.
*
She sighed in resignation. Dulce. Dulce Amor.
Sweet love, Emilio said.
Yes. That’s what it means.
Are you sweet?
What impertinence! Dulce blushed, embarrassed.
I didn’t mean to be fresh, Emilio pressed on, but, are you sweet?
Dulce laughed.
Emilio was quick to jump at that, You laughed.
You are intolerable!
*
Not mincing words, Emilio blurted out, Give me your hand.
Dulce almost froze in shock, What?
Give me your hand.
No! She cried vehemently.
Are you sure?
She was piqued now, Yes, I am sure!
*
Emilio looked at her for a moment.
She glared back at him.
I’m sorry, Emilio sounded sincere. I thought you were game.
He smiled, and for a moment, his face seemed to glow.
Sorry again, he said. Goodbye.
He turned to go.
*
Dulce sighed, and slowly her face showed some brave, even wild, resolution.
Wait! She called.
Emilio stopped, but did not turn.
He smiled wickedly, his face glowed even more.
Then, he continued walking away from Dulce.
Wait. Please wait!
It is Dulce who now begged.
She quickened her steps to keep up with him.
She actually ran after him! (To be continued)/PN
