BACOLOD City – A couple died while their four-year old daughter was unharmed after they were shot due to alleged jealousy.
The fatalities, Hanna Grace Bukaling, 28, and Nobert Simon, 29, residents of Barangay Rafaela Barera, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Police, meanwhile, identified the suspect as Niño Andrin, 33, of Brgy. Paraiso, Sagay City.
According to Police Major Roberto Indiape, Sagay city police chief, the couple, together with their daughter, were onboard a motorcycle from Escalante City going to Sagay City when they were suddenly bumped behind by another motorcycle driven by Andrin at Brgy. Rafaela Barera at about 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 17.
The victims lost control of the motorcycle and fell into the ground. Then they were shot to death.
Andrin was arrested by policemen in a hot pursuit operation. He was detained at the Sagay City Police Station.
Citing their initial investigation, Indiape said Hanna Grace and Andrin were allegedly in a relationship./PN
