THE price of cooking gas increased for the second month in a row by as much as P6.65 per kilogram on Friday, Sept. 1.
Petron, in an advisory, said it hiked the price of an 11-kilogram (kg) liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by P73.15 per tank.
The price of AutoLPG likewise increased by P3.70 per liter.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of September,” Petron said.
Solane-branded LPG also went up by P6.64 per kilogram effective 6 a.m. yesterday while Phoenix LPG implemented a P6.65 per kilogram hike on household LPG and P3.70 per liter increase on AutoLPG.
In August, the price of an 11-kg cylinder LPG rose by P50.05.
According to the Department of Energy, the prevailing retail prices of LPG in Metro Manila range from P718 to P935 per tank.
