GUIMARAS – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has inaugurated its new district office located at Alejandro Heights Subdivision in Barangay San Miguel, Jordan town on Thursday, May 16.
LTO Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II graced the blessing and inauguration of the new building. Also present were Gov. Joaquin Carlos “JC” Rahman Nava and the province’s Lone District Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava.
Mendoza, in his message, assured that all LTO services can be availed at the Guimaras district office, particularly the claiming of license plate number.
“Let’s make sure that everybody has plates, let’s make sure lahat may proper licenses, let’s make sure all the services of LTO here are intact,” he said.
Congresswoman Nava sponsored the bill converting the Guimaras LTO Extension Office into a regular LTO district office in 2018 and the same was enacted into law in 2019.
“After we filed the bill, we were hoping for an area where we could construct the new office building and we are happy that the Seberiaga family donated their lot,” she said.
The following provincial and regional officials were also present during the inauguration: Ma. Asuncion H. Trespeses, supervising transportation regulation officer of LTO Guimaras District Office; Jose Seberiaga, land donor; Eric Lenard E. Tabaldo, LTO-6 regional director; and Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II, LTO-6 assistant regional director./PN
