ILOILO City – Wear safety gears while driving, Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 6 director Rolando Ramos reminded motorists.
“We also remind them of the speed limits, especially Ceres bus drivers,” added Ramos.
The LTO Region 6 will conduct a seminar on safe driving next week.
The seminar, which will be “batch-by-batch,” will cater to drivers of motorcycles, tricycles, taxis, and buses. Ramos said they are also coordinating with several bikers’ association.
A total of 50 drivers will attend the seminar per day. They will be lectured about traffic rules and regulations and other road safety measures.
“May mga committee tayo na krini-ate to conduct seminars in the region. Dapat natin i-minimize ang traffic accidents kasi marami na ang mga buhay na nawawala dahil sa drivers na mga hindi nag-iingat,” said Ramos.
He also said the LTO will conduct day-and-night monitoring of passengers vehicles to avoid overloading./PN
