BACOLOD City – A mother and her daughter drowned in a beach in Barangay Tiglawigan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Melanie Juanico Alo, 39, and daughter Mary Bless, 11, went swimming with another daughter and two nieces around 8 a.m. yesterday.
According to Police Major Rocky Desear, Cadiz City acting police chief, Mary Bless was drawn by strong waves and the mother tried to rescue her.
They were rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but the attending physician declared them “dead on arrival.”/PN
