CAPIZ – A man was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
The 40-year-old alias “Bobby”, a resident of Barangay Manayupit, Maayon town, was caught in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City on Tuesday.
Police officers carried out the operation through the strength of an arrest warrant for violence against women and children (VAWC) issued by Judge Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo of the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region – Branch 14 in Roxas City dated July 10, 2024.
The suspect was taken into custody by the Capiz Rehabilitation Center.
The court recommended a bail bond of 72,000 for his temporary liberty./PN
