ROXAS City – A 39-year-old man from Maayon, Capiz was accused of sexually assaulting his 10-year-old stepdaughter.
The municipal police filed a rape charge against Oliver Solis before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday.
Police arrested Solis on Monday after the child’s mother – the suspect’s live-in partner – filed a complaint against him.
According to the live-in partner, her daughter said Solis raped her that day, when the mother was not around.
“We made the arrest on the same day we received the complaint from the victim’s mother,” Senior Police Officer 4 Ronald Amador, deputy municipal police chief, told Panay News.
The victim had undergone a medical examination and results showed that she had a laceration in her sexual organ, said Amador./PN
