ANTIQUE – A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Culasi town in this province yesterday, January 5.

In a bulletin issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake of tectonic origin was recorded at 1:48 a.m.

It had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers. The Phivolcs however said no damage or aftershocks are expected.

Moreover, no intensity in neighboring areas was reported.

The province of Antique is composed of 18 municipalities: Anini-y, Barbaza, Belison, Bugasong, Caluya, Culasi, Hamtic, Laua-an, Libertad, Pandan, Patnongon, San Jose de Buenavista, San Remigio, Sebaste, Sibalom, Tibiao, Tobias Fornier, and Valderrama./PN
