MANILA – Bacolod City Master Sardines fell short of its run to suffer an 84-74 defeat in the hands of Makati Super Crunch in the 2019-2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup last night at the San Juan Arena.
Bacolod had a strong start in the first period and went up 18-12 on triples from Jopher Custodio but Makati came up with a strong run in the second frame as they limit their foe to just six points.

Bacolod was still hanging around from Makati in the fourth quarter and was only down 74-77 after a Javelona triple but baskets from Cedric Ablaza, Joseph Sedurifa and Jeckster Apinan increased Makati’s lead back to 10 points.
Sedurifa finished the match with 20 points while Ablaza and Apinan had 14 and 13 markers, respectively, as the Super Crunch surged to its second straight victory in as many games.
Custodio top-scored with 23 points, including seven triples, while Javelona added 21 markers, including five outside hits, for the Master Sardines, which dropped to 1-1 card.
