Starting February 23, 2022, tourists may opt for alternative destinations and skip the crowds of Boracay Island to visit the hidden gems of this northern town.
Travelers can instead set on a journey in mainland Malay and steal some scenescapes and unspoiled environment.
Malay acting mayor Frolibar Bautista issued Executive Order 01-B on February 22, 2022, allowing tourists to do side trips to mainland Malay.
Only vaccinated foreign and domestic tourists will get the chance to experience the culture and beauty of Malay’s tourist spots.
Tourists could take a peek at Motag Museum, Nagata Falls in Nabaoy, Pangihan Cave in Poblacion, Agnaga Mini Falls, and Cold Spring in Kabulihan, Nabaoy River in Nabaoy, Malay Ecological Park in Argao, and Naasug Point in Naasug for their adventure-packed trips.
These lesser-known destinations in mainland Malay offer remarkable beauty in the wait to be explored by tourists.
Foreign tourists are returning to Boracay Island nearly two years after the onset of the pandemic that shuttered the tourism and travel sector.
