Malay town to get new police chief

KALIBO, Aklan – A new police official will lead the municipal police station of Malay, Aklan.

Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pa-ac Pablito will assume the post of outgoing chief of police Major Jess Baylon in Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.   

Pablito, the former station commandeer of Iloilo City Police Station 1, was previously assigned as the chief of Strategy Review Branch of the Regional Police Strategy Management Unit in Iloilo, which ensures the implementation of the Philippine National Police Patrol Plan 2030.

Malay town has five sub-stations in Boracay Island and mainland Malay, three of the police sub-stations are located in the barangays of Balabag, Manoc-Manoc and Yapak. The old Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) office in Balabag is the main police station.  

Baylon will be reassigned in Police Regional Office (PRO-6) in Iloilo City after serving the Malay municipal police station last June 2019.     

Baylon was assigned as BTAC chief on Aug. 2016 prior to his assignment in PRO-6 as aide-de-camp of Police Brigadier John Bulalacao two years ago.(With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
