ILOILO City – Over P8,000 worth of hardware items were recovered from a shoplifting suspect at a mall in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
Ronald Dinopol, 37, was a resident of Jaro district. He was caught by security guard Abe Cudo of New Mabuhay International Security Agency around 11:30 a.m. on March 1.
Dinopol was taken to the Mandurriao police station.
According to the police, the exact worth of hardware items confiscated from Dinopol was P8,746.50.
In another shoplifting case, a woman was arrested for unpaid cosmetics she took from a store on Iznart Street.
From the store, Violeta Hofileña was taken to Police Station 1 around 9:57 a.m. on March 1.
Store security guard Jay Teves of the Visayas Saz Security Agency seized from the suspect two cosmetic items totaling P498.
Teves said Hofileña tried to leave the store without paying at the cashier./PN
