MAMBUSAO, Capiz – An unidentified gunman shot a 20-year-old carpenter in Barangay Cala-agus here.
Mark Anthony Ventura was a resident of Barangay Bungsi. He was shot while on his way home with two friends.
The burst of gunfire came from nowhere, Ventura’s two friends Charlie Loyola and Romeo Lacorte told the police. They were just surprised when Ventura started bleeding on the abdomen.
Ventura was taken to the Mambusao District Hospital for treatment, said Police Staff Sergeant Ivan Camacho, municipal police chief.
Prior to going home, the three friends had a drinking binge at a roadside store./PN
