CAPIZ – A man was apprehended for possession of unlicensed firearms found during the execution of a search warrant in Sitio Luyan, Barangay Bato-bato, Mambusao, Capiz.
The arrested individual, identified only as “Jesus,” 49, is a resident of the aforementioned area.
According to the Mambusao police, the apprehended person was found in possession of two homemade 12-gauge shotguns, a magazine, and two rounds of ammunition.
The search warrant, authorized and signed by Executive Judge Judith Orendain Tonogbanua of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz, was implemented on March 19, 2024.
At present, “Jesus” remains in the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Capiz for proper disposition.
He will face charges for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act./PN
