Man 12 years wanted for frustrated homicide falls

BACOLOD City – A wanted person for the crime of frustrated homicide was arrested around 3:15 p.m. in Purok Kabiguhan, Barangay Bago, Don Salvador Benedicto town, Negros Occidental on Tuesday.

Senior Inspector Jerald Muya, Don Salvador Benedicto police head, identified the suspect as Renato Arobillo Ibanez, 43, resident.

Muya disclosed that Ibanez committed the crime in Kabankalan City twelve years ago.

Don Salvador Benedicto police was accompanied by Kabankalan City police, under the supervision of Superintendent Jonel Guadalupe, for the arrest.

The late Judge Henry Arles of Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City had issued the arrest order dated March 10, 2006.

The warrant recommended a P24,0000 bail bond for the temporary liberty of the suspect.

The Ibanez has been detained at the Kabankalan City lock-up facility./PN
