BACOLOD City – He stabbed his wife to death, police said.
Authorities were still hunting the 26-year-old Arnaiz Arevalo of Barangay Buhangin, Isabela, Negros Occidental after he allegedly killed his wife Angela using a knife around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday.
Angela – also 26 – died of multiple stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
She had worked as an overseas Filipino worker in Dubai for two years.
According to investigators, Arevalo and Angela had a heated argument on Sunday when the latter went home in Hacienda Alicante.
Angela allegedly has an illicit affair with a man from Mandaluyong City, who she brought with her in Isabela.
Angela went to their house to take two of her children with Arevalo, the investigators said.
They added that Arevalo may have long known that his wife was cheating on him, prompting him to stab her.
Investigation was still ongoing./PN
