ILOILO – A 64-year-old man in Barangay Tacdangan, Cabatuan died after his in-law hit him on the head with a rock.
Police Captain Dionisio Estacio, chief of Cabatuan Municipal Police Station, said the 33-year-old Cristom Erin’s motive was a past rivalry with the victim, Rene Ferro.
Estacio added that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime at about 5:10 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Ferro was rushed to the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan but was declared dead soon after.
The suspect was immediately arrested and is now detained, facing a murder charge./PN
