SILAY CITY, Negros Occidental – A 52-year-old man accused of rape was arrested in Hacienda Marigasa 3, Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, Negros Occidental at around 12:30 p.m. on May 26.
Francisco Legaspi alias “Kalbo” was the No. 5 most wanted person of the Silay City police station. His arrest warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 40 (Silay City).
The suspect was charged with violation of the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (Criminal Case numbers 12954-40, 12955-40 and 12956-40).
The court recommended a bail bond of P200,000 for Criminal Case No. 12954-40 but none for the two others.
Legaspi was detained at the Silay City police station.
His arrest was effected by combined elements of the Silay City police, 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Negros Occidental./PN
