CAPIZ – A man was arrested in a buy-bust operation of the police in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Panay town at around 7:05 p.m. on Oct. 11.
Suspected shabu weighing some 30 grams and valued at P204,000 was also recovered.
Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Francis Abalayan alias “Botchoy” or “Sonny” of Barangay Mongpong, Roxas City.
According to the police, an undercover cop was able to buy from the suspect two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu for P20,500.
Nine more sachets were seized.
The marking, inventory and taking of photographs of the recovered items were done in the presence of the subject, barangay officials and media.
Suspect Abalayan was taken to the Panay police station. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed against him./PN
