BACOLOD City – Jealousy was what triggered a man to attack his wife and their son using a hammer in Barangay 40, police said.
The 48-year-old Arturo Tan was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 6.
Arturo allegedly attacked his wife Jonedah, 40, and son Jude, 9, around 2 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Jude – who sustained head injuries – was confined and currently under treatment at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Jonedah got treated at the same hospital as an outpatient.
According to the police, Arturo got jealous of his wife and the owner of the house they were renting.
The owner allegedly told him: “Manami imo asawa.”
It was not immediately clear if Jonedah will file charges against Arturo./PN
