BACOLOD City – One of the suspects in the shooting incident on Tuesday evening in Purok Alimango, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan town has been arrested.
Joshua Pando, 23, a resident of the barangay, was collared in a follow-up operation.
Pando was with the man who shot Jerry Baylon, 48, and his granddaughter, Jamaica, 6.
The older Baylon was declared dead on arrival at Binalbagan Infirmary, while his granddaughter is still recuperating at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Investigation disclosed that the man went to the house of a certain Apple Baylon. He was opened by the woman and shot her. The older Baylon was instead hit.
According to Chief Inspector Anthony Grande, Pando has already disclosed the identity of the gunman.
Grande said the motive of the shooting may have something to do with a love triangle.
Pando is now detained at the custodial jail of the Binalbagan police station./PN
