ILOILO – A 26-year-old man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagumbayan Ilajas, Alimodian, Iloilo on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9.
Melvin Amorio was a resident of Barangay Pajo in the said town.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Alimodian Municipal Police Station (MPS), the Iloilo Police Mobile Force Company, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Leon MPS, and San Miguel MPS.
According to the Alimodian MPS, operatives managed to buy a sachet of suspected shabu using P2,500 buy-bust money.
Also recovered were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 0.5 grams and with a standard drug price of P15,000.
Amorio is currently under the custody of the Alimodian MPS and will face illegal drug-related charges./PN
