BACOLOD City – A complaint was filed against a man in Barangay Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental for allegedly stealing a carabao.

Resident Rodel Evangelio told the officers at the Cauayan municipal police station on Sunday that his carabao went missing.

Police found and recovered the carabao from the possession of the 32-year-old Ritchie Millendez at the municipal stockyard of Candoni, Negros Occidental on the same day.

Police were still verifying if Millendez was also responsible for stealing five other missing carabaos in Barangay Talacdan.

Millendez was detained at the Cauayan municipal police station and facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 533, or the Anti-Cattle Rustling Law of 1974./PN
