BACOLOD City – A 28-year-old man tragically drowned at a resort in Sitio Batang, Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Friday, November 1.
According to reports from the Himamaylan City Police Station, alias “Joey”, a resident of the city’s Barangay Mahalang, was at the resort with his family when a relative accidentally fell into the waters.
In an attempt to rescue his relative, Joey himself was swept away by strong waves.
After a 30-minute search and rescue operation by the Coast Guard Sub-station in Himamaylan City, Joey’s body was recovered, police added. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
