ILOILO City – For allegedly abusing a minor, a man was arrested in Barangay San Nicolas, Oton, Iloilo.
The 47-year-old resident Noel Torrico was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, a police report showed.
Officers from the Oton police station served Torrico the warrant the court issued in relation to a case he faces for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Torrico was detained in the lockup facility of the municipal police station.
The court recommended an P80,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
