KALIBO, Aklan – In Barangay Poblacion, Makato, Aklan a man faces a charge for illegal gun possession.
The Makato police station said Ivy Batoy, 28, was a resident of Barangay Panayakan, Tangalan, Aklan.
Cops arrested the suspect after having been informed by a concerned citizen who claimed seeing the suspect with a gun over the weekend. They recovered an FMW 35-7 magnum revolver with three bullets.
According to the Makato police, Batoy failed to present to them the gun’s pertinent papers.
The suspect was taken to the Makato police station. The police was set to charge him with violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
