CAPIZ – A 48-year-old man was believed to have drowned in the waters off the coast of Barangay Binaobawan, Pilar town in this province.
Pilar police said the lifeless body of Orlyc Pendon, a resident of the town’s Barangay Cayus, was found floating around 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.
The victim was rushed to the Pilar Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Initial investigation showed that prior to the incident, Pendon was seen at around 10:10 a.m. having a drinking spree with his friends.
According to his friends, they did not notice that the victim, who was already drunk, went swimming./PN
