ILOILO – The dead man found in Barangay Linobayan, Tigbauan town on Thursday, March 23, remains unclaimed at a funeral home.

The 58-year-old Allen R. Sanchez was believed to be a victim of summary execution.

Police Captain Mary Jane Panes, chief of the Tigbauan police station, said no family members or any relatives of the victim coordinate with them to claim the body.

“Ginatinguhaan ta gid tani mabal-an kung taga diin gid ini siya. So far, gin-preserve ang iya cadaver para atleast mahatagan tyempo, kay basi wala pa bala makalab-ot sa pamilya,” said Panes.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) and Tigbauan police found identification cards inside the victim’s bag stating his temporary residence in Barangay Santo Niño Norte, Arevalo, Iloilo City.

Authorities are also investigating the name written on the victim’s clothes.

The victim was found with hands bound by tape on around 7 a.m. by fish vendor Ron-Ron Centino, a resident of the barangay, who happened to drop by the said area.

The SOCO recovered three sachets of suspected shabu and one sachet of marijuana from the victim’s wallet./PN
