BACOLOD City – Two days after he went missing, a man was found dead at the shore near a commercial port in Barangay Banquerohan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
He was the Barangay Tinampaan, Cadiz City resident Ronald “Ogie” Gepana, a police report showed.
According to investigators, Gepana went fishing on Saturday but never came back.
Gepana’s body was already in the state of decomposition when found on Monday, police said.
His family members confirmed it was Gepana, citing his arm and body tattoos and his black shirt and cargo shorts.
The last time he was seen, Gepana was having a drinking spree with some of his friends at the shore, investigators added.
Police were verifying if Gepana died of drowning. His cadaver was brought to the Negrense Funeral Parlor for a post-mortem examination./PN
