ANTIQUE – A heated argument during a drinking spree led to the hacking of a 23-year-old man in Sitio Igcapayas, Barangay Aureliana, Patnongon here.
Alias “Ariel”, a resident of the town’s Barangay Salaguiawan, sustained wounds on his body. He was recuperating at Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital.
Patnongon police identified the suspect as alias “Steven”, 19, of Barangay Aureliana, and the brother of Ariel’s former live-in partner.
According to the investigation of the Patnongon police station, the victim and his brother visited the house of his former partner and had a drinking session on Monday night, August 19.
The suspect later arrived and joined them, but a heated argument ensued between him and the victim due to alleged old grudges, leading to stabbing.
The suspect was immediately arrested and was detained at the Patnongon police station for proper disposition./PN
