ROXAS City – A 52-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by his two cousins in Sitio Centro Relis, Barangay Liong, this city, past 7 p.m. on Monday.
Victim Elias B. Guillermo was a resident of the said place.
The suspects were George P. Ponesto, 49, of Barangay Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz, and Joel T. Perez, 40, of Sitio Centro Relis.
All three were inebriated when the incident happened, initial investigation showed.
A resident named Pablito B. Dordas found Guillermo’s body.
The Capiz Emergency Response Team (CERT) rushed the victim to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) but was declared “dead on arrival”.
Meanwhile, the suspects were arrested in a manhunt operation, and the bolo allegedly used in the hacking was recovered.
The suspects were being held by the Roxas City police./PN
