ROXAS City – A man hacked his older brother to death in Barangay Carataya, Cuartero, Capiz.
Rodnie Planto was arrested and detained at the municipal police station lockup facility, police said.
Planto allegedly killed on Monday his 48-year-old brother Sonny, who sustained hack wounds on the body.
Sonny was rushed to a hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Cuartero police head Senior Inspector Wilfredo Escalera said altercation ensued between the two before the hacking occurred.
Escalera added that Planto was drunk at the time.
Old grudge may be the motive in the incident, according to the police.
Recovered from the crime scene was the bolo that Planto used in hacking his brother.
“Ginapreparer na sang aton mga imbestigador ang kaso nga homicide nga e-file against sa suspetsado nga si Rodnie Planto,” Escalera said./PN
