ILOILO City – A man who attempted to kill himself by jumping into the Iloilo River was rushed to St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo.

Allan Saonoy, 41, was a resident of Negros Occidental but temporarily staying here. Around 10 p.m. on Sunday he tried to drown himself in the river.

Concerned residents, however, saw him jump into the river and quickly alerted rescuers.

Police said Saonoy had a family problem./PN
