BACOLOD City – After threatening another with a gun, a man was arrested in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
He was the 49-year-old Giovanni Isidro of Barangay Lantad, Silay City, a police report showed.
Recovered from Isidro’s possession were a .40-caliber gun (serial number 195858) loaded with 15 live bullets, a buckle knife and a shoulder bag, police said.
This was after Silay City police responded to a call that barangay kagawad Julius Treyes made, reporting that Isidro threatened to hurt the 27-year-old Jose Adrian Tingson.
Isidro started threatening Tingson after the latter bought cigarette from a store, according to investigators.
A team led by Senior Police Officer 2 William Abellar arrested Isidro around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Isidro was detained at the Silay City police station lockup facility.
It was not immediately clear what was the motive in the incident./PN
