BACOLOD City – A man was killed in Hacienda Dalayapan, Barangay Caduha-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The 51-year-old Manalo Porre, a resident of the village, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Rocky Desear, Cadiz City police chief, about five armed men may be responsible for the killing.
Porre headed the Dalayapan Agrarian Reform Cooperative. He was on his way to work onboard his motorcycle when attacked, initial police investigation showed.
Recovered from the crime scene were six empty shells and four unfired cartridges of a 5.56-caliber rifle; five empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol, and a slug of an unknown caliber of firearm.
The victim’s body was brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic for medical examination.
