CAPIZ – A motorcycle driver died after he was hit by a cargo truck around 1 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Nasunogan, Dao town.
The 27-year-old Jayvee Hilis, a resident of Barangay Consolacion, Dumalag, sustained fatal body injuries.
Personnel of the Dao Emergency Response Unit rushed the victim to the Dao District Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
According to Dao police, the victim was heading to Dumalag town when the incident occurred.
A cargo truck driven by Samson Serinas, 42, of Barangay Abilay Sur, Oton, Iloilo, was on his way to Roxas City when he accidentally hit the victim’s motorcycle.
Serinas was taken into custody by the Dao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition./PN
