ILOILO City – A 48-year-old man was arrested for supposedly shouting expletives at a police officer at a quarantine checkpoint in Barangay Purok 2, Pavia, Iloilo.
Reno Salvilla of Barangay Mali-ao, Pavia was accused of defaming Police Staff Sergeant Franklin Suizo.
The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday.
Suizo, who was then implementing the checkpoint, barred Salvilla from passing through after the latter failed to present a home quarantine pass. But Salvilla resisted and figured in a heated argument with Suizo.
Salvilla was taken to the Pavia police station. Charges will be filed against him./PN
