ILOILO City – A 54-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Rogelio Canag of Barangay Polopiña, Concepcion, Iloilo was charged with violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, a police report showed.
Police caught Canag around 10 a.m. yesterday by virtue of an arrest warrant.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Barotac Viejo police station.
A P72,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
