ILOILO City – A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, April 2, for carrying a homemade gun along Rizal Street in Barangay Benedicto, Jaro district.
Roberto Cataluña, a resident of Barangay San Antonio, Lemery, Iloilo, was taken to the Jaro police station around 6:30 p.m. He yielded an unlicensed 12-gauge homemade shotgun with one ammunition.
Patrolman Jestonie Bacus and Police Master Sergeant Rodel Aposaga, who were on patrol, arrested Cataluña.
The suspect faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
