ANTIQUE – A man was arrested for illegal fishing at Dalanas River in Sitio Poong, Barangay Capoyuan, Barbaza town around 3:13 p.m. on Thursday, May 2.
Barbaza police identified the suspect as 35-year-old Rospher Manalo, a resident of the town’s Sitio Highway, Barangay Beri.
Officers of the Barbaza Municipal Police Station seized from Manalo an improvised electrical fishing rod, landing net and improvised battery.
The suspect was detained at the Barbaza MPS.
He is facing charges for violation of Article VIII, Section 4 of Municipal Ordinance No. 6 Series of 2008, or the Municipal Fisheries Code of the Municipality of Barbaza./PN
