ILOILO City – Leopoldo Basio has been arrested.
The 51-year-old resident of Barangay Aspera, Sara, Iloilo was accused of operating an illegal color game pula-puti, a police report showed.
Officers accosted Basio in Barangay Tady, Sara at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
A funnel, a table and P560 worth of bet money were seized from the suspect.
Basio faces charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, the law prescribing stiffer penalties on illegal gambling.
The Sara police took the suspect in custody./PN
