ILOILO City – A man who claimed to be a bodyguard of a mayor in Antique province was arrested in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro district for illegal possession of firearm and illegal drugs.
The 39-year-old Michael Gustilo of Brgy. Gustilo, La Paz district yielded a .45 pistol with ammunition, a sachet of marijuana and a sachet of shabu.
The suspect, however, refused to name his alleged mayor-employer.
He was arrested around 12:30 a.m. by PO2 Richard Ivan Lopez and barangay tanod members Mark Gapasinao and Marivic Teves.
Gustilo had an expired gun license and had no permit to carry a firearm.
A further search led to the recovery of shabu and marijuana./PN
