BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a security guard’s service firearm in Barangay Singcang yesterday.
The 22-year-old Raymark Hilado was a resident of Barangay Lantad, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
He was accused of stealing a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with live bullets owned by Warlito Perocho, 50, assigned at the Fast Cargo Logistics in Barangay Singcang.
According to the police, Perocho together with some bystanders chased the suspect, who tried to pull the trigger of the gun several times but failed until he got caught and mobbed around 2:30 a.m.
Officers of Police Station 8 took Hilado in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
