ANTIQUE – A drug pushing suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Panlagangan, Sibalom, Antique, around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23.
Police said Vincent Joseph Quilino Villavert sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.
Vincent’s companion, Bernard Quilino Villavert, was able to flee.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 6, together with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit-Antique, Sibalom Municipal Police Station (MPS), and PDEA-Antique Provincial Office, recovered around five grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P1,500 in marked money, and a .38 revolver with five live ammunitions.
The suspect is facing charges for illegal possession of a firearm (violation of Republic Act 10591) and for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
